Terms of Use
Last updated
These terms are an agreement between you and Nova Tarot Baby ("we", "us") and apply to novatarotbaby.com ("the site"). By using the site you agree to them. Please read them with the privacy policy, which says how your data is handled.
What the site is
Nova Tarot Baby gives tarot, astrology and numerology readings, written by an AI model in the voice of Nova, a character. Readings are for entertainment and reflection. They are not predictions: nothing on the site says what will happen, and nothing on it is certain.
Nothing on the site is medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for it. Don't make decisions about your health, safety, money or legal matters on the strength of a reading. If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line (988 in the US, Samaritans on 116 123 in the UK and Ireland, or findahelpline.com elsewhere).
Readings are written by an AI and can be wrong, odd or off the mark, even though each one is checked before it is shown.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 to use the site. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these, you must be that age.
Your account
Accounts are run by Clerk. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person.
The free plan and Inner Circle
- The free plan includes a daily reading allowance and a small number of letters to Nova a day, as described on the site. Guests can pull a card on the home page.
- Inner Circle is a paid subscription sold through Clerk Billing. The price, how often you are billed and the billing terms are shown at checkout before you pay; we do not set them out here.
- Automatic renewal. Inner Circle renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown at checkout, and your payment method is charged until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We will send any notices the law requires before a renewal or a change in price.
- You can manage or cancel Inner Circle at any time from "Manage or cancel your plan" on your profile or the Inner Circle page, which opens your Clerk account settings. What happens when you cancel, including whether any refund applies, is as shown at checkout and in those settings.
- Every plan has daily limits and a fair-use limit on how often Nova writes, shown on the site. When the whole site reaches its daily limit, readings and letters pause until it resets. We may change these limits; the site always shows the current ones.
- If you leave Inner Circle, people you saved stay on your account so you can still see and delete them, but you can't add or edit them.
Promotional codes
A promotional code is valid only on the terms shown with it, may be limited in number or time, has no cash value and may be withdrawn if it is misused. Whatever discount applies is shown at checkout before you pay.
Using the site fairly
Please don't:
- add another person's details without their okay;
- use the site to harass, threaten or harm anyone, or to break the law;
- try to get around the daily or fair-use limits, for example with several accounts or automated requests;
- try to make Nova produce harmful content or reveal how she is instructed, or test the site's security without our permission;
- copy, scrape or resell the site or its readings in bulk;
- interfere with the site or other people's use of it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
What you write and what Nova writes
What you type stays yours. You let us store and process it, including sending it to the AI model as the privacy policy describes, so the site can give you readings and replies. Readings written for you are for your own personal use; you're welcome to share them.
Your data
How we collect, protect, keep and delete your information is set out in the privacy policy, including the rights of California residents and residents of other states. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit, as that policy explains. We do not sell it.
Changes and availability
The site is provided as it is and as available. It changes every month (each month has its own edition) and features may be added, changed or removed. We try to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Leaving
You can stop using the site at any time. You can download or delete your data from your profile, and delete your account from "Manage or delete your account" on your profile, which opens your Clerk account settings, as the privacy policy explains.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its readings are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a reading, or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or loss of data, profit or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and fifty US dollars. Some places do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live. Please write to support@novatarotbaby.com first: most problems can be settled informally, and we usually reply within 24 hours. Any dispute we can't settle will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to those courts, except that where the law lets you bring a claim in the courts where you live, you may. Nothing here stops you reporting a concern to a government agency.
